Just as with airpower and UAVs, the rest of the world is not standing still when it comes to armor systems, firepower, mobility and targeting. Soon the Abrams tank will be an inferior platform to others and without some progress in applying investment to armor, fire control, propulsion, mobility and range we are inviting disaster in force on force confrontation.

Ha! I read this article independent of you sending it. The US keeps moding existing tanks, A1, A2, A2 SEP 3 and then A3, etc…. All the while our adversaries are bilding new tanks. Abrams was first designed in the 70s! That’s almost 50 years ago!
