Legacy Defense Satellite Communications System III-B7 takes over NSF Antarctic Mission

I had proposed this 3 years ago to SMC at LAAFB.  It was called “Fly to Mortality”.    I also proposed for limited Arctic Support and covert missions.   Good thing these old birds still have some kick.  At the time, SMC was going to send them into deep space even though they still had propellant and functional payloads…..At the time there were not enough ground sites to fly legacy and WGS missions.  I am glad rational minds prevailed.
