Dr. Robie Samanta works across Lockheed Martin’s business areas and innovation ecosystem to develop technology roadmaps that are aligned with business strategies. He works with the corporation’s university and nonprofit research programs and customer labs to transition ideas and knowledge to next generation products and services. He interacts with U.S. government organizations conducting R&D as well as those that formulate policies and plans.
Dr. Samanta offered a talk on efforts to improve on the assigned roles above and addressed large company – small company interactions, Intellectual Property issues, SBIRs, and the need to bolster the effective use of National Labs and Academia within business programs. Much of this focus was based upon LM’s initiatives and the insights gained from his position.
